Bruno Medeiros
Hey gang, Finally bought my first anvil and I'm pretty psyched about it! It's a 173# Hay-Budden. I tested rebound with 1" ball bearing and it's ~90%. Serial# 18045. Anybody got any more info on this thing? Here are some pics (don't mind the giant stump, I'm going to resize it):

JHCC
VERY nice. Might one ask the price?
Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
Great looking anvil. I would leave the stump that size, makes for a handy shelf for hammer, punches and hardy tools when in use.
Marc1
What an admirable find. I love all the marks on the side. Reminds me of the crackle on an old painting. The stump would probably be in your way depending how you work. I would dedicate some time and effort in making a nice heavy metal stand with a tie down like JLP has on one of his anvils. Fantastic anvil. PS Check stand at about 9 seconds in the video

JHCC
Everything's more expensive in San Francisco, isn't it?
