templehound
....is often said by Thais when they explain something to Western people. Just a point of view turns western understood non-sense in eastern profound sense....like this ancient knife pattern that appears always the same shape but in different execution. Steel is 115W8(1.2442), also the bolsters, bone and silver pins, blade length measures 120 mm and overall length is 250 mm.
TheoRockNazz
Beautiful as always Interesting choice to oxidize/patina the bolster and start of the blade, it really works for this piece.

Momatt
It's a pleasure to see something simple executed perfectly. This is the kind of art that moves me.
rockstar.esq
I think the edge treatment on the scales is very interesting without hurting the utility of the handle. That's a fine balancing act to make it work as well as you did. Nice work.
Michael Cochran
I really like the overall 'feel' I get looking at that knife. What is the handle material? I see you mention bone and im assuming that's the handle but I've never seen bone that had that much character to it before.
BIGGUNDOCTOR
These are the types of knives I can really appreciate, simple, well done, and very usable. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the fancy knives, but seriously, how many of those actually get used.....for me a knife is a tool, not a piece of art to only admire on a shelf. Everything about this knife screams Git-r-done to me. I'd carry that one any day of the week.
templehound
Thanks a lot for the nice comments, Gentlemen! Thats right I forgot to specify the handle slabs which are jaw bone from Steller sea cow. Cheers
Michael Cochran
So you used some fossilized bone. That would be the coloring I saw I guess. Thanks for sharing.
boisdarc
I love the handle scales you've used. They really pull all individual parts of the knife together.
