antigoth24
I made this one to be the center piece in an upcoming show, it's a 2,000 layer modified multi bar jelly roll with a high carbon core. The steels used in the forging of this knife were 1084/1095/W2/ 15n20 it was a blast to put together and so I decided to send it off to Caleb Royer to have it photographed since I have been drooling over his work for quite some time. But here are the specs.Blade Length: 9 inchesBlade Width: 2 inchesHandle Length: 5 inchesTotal Length: 14 inchesHandle Material: Desert Ironwood Burl/Stabilized Oregon Maple Burl with leather spacersHardware: stainless steel pins/ mosaic pinsSheath: 8 ounce veg tan. Thanks for looking!Robert

NickOHH
beautiful piece of craftsmanship there antigoth! very nice blade, and a gorgeous handle to go with it, great work!
Steve Sells
2,000 layer ? a typo? 1,000 layers appears normally as a mono-steel most the time.... still looks good
mitch4ging
Again, awsome work, Robert! I am envious of the power hammer and how you did the jelly roll pattern. Great choice of wood for the scales as well!
Stormcrow
Every aspect of that came out gorgeous, and the photography shows it off well. Good work, man!
antigoth24
Thanks guys! And no 2000 isn't a typo :) At each stage of welding I added in 1/8 inch pieces of 1084 and 15n20 leading to the larger and smaller streaks with the jelly roll coming to 2,100 layers roughly by the end. Gergely
Well, this pattern is the most unbelievable play with the material I've ever seen. I just can't understand what my eyes see. I like the whole knife but the pattern really takes my brains' breath away. Bests: Gergely
