kyotie11
Does anyone know of any company thanks makes anvils anymore? Are they any worth buying?
Dogsoldat
some where on IFI there is a thread on new anvils. only ones that isn't so easy to find info on are Renato Muskovic's anvils. Rathole Forge with the Fontanini, Nimbas , refflinghaus lots out there... google is your friend, and lots of reviews here on IFI
Fatfudd
The modern anvils mentioned above (plus others like Old world anvils) by Dogsoldat are excellent but expensive. It really depends a lot on what you are looking for and what type of work you want to do. You might give a little more info on what type of smithing you want to do. There are very good older anvils available too if you want something a little cheaper. You should spend a few days exploring this website. ken leedy
I love my Fontanini. I would buy it again tomorrow. It's well worth the money. It will outlast my grandchildren.
swedefiddle
Renato lives in Surrey, B.C. Canada. I have his e-mail and phone number if you want it. Russell Jaqua designed the Nimba Anvil and started making them. It is a real good anvil. They are still making them in Port Townsend Washington.
