Jim Coke
Greetings Dick, I have made several vise stands like yours.. Just a thought... If you turn the bottom plate 90 .. Than you can stand on it for more stability. I have found in the past that you do not need as much floor material in the rear of the vise.. Just my 2c... Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
seldom (dick renker)
jim, i find i spend most of my time working from the side, so it works out pretty good for standing dick

navasky
Awesome vise. I suspect the most useful feature will be that you'll be able to extend long pieces down vertically since there's no screwbox to hit.
ThomasPowers
Is collecting vices/vises under gluttony or avariciousness---or both; definitley under "thou shall not covet....or anything that is thy neighbors" Well I'm a goner; it's not the heat that bothers me it's all that sulfur---terrible for hot steel! Living down here is excellent conditioning for the hereafter!
