I made this wine rack for a chap who said he wanted something a little differant...

I LIKE it! It's not just a wine rack it's a center piece for any fine table. I'm looking at a very marketable item.

Well done all round.

Frosty The Lucky.

Love it! Nice center piece.

Yes, it is different, it is a different wine rack and a different center piece. It is also  obviously very versatile : it can hold bottles of wine, you can arrange flowers on it, and you can leave it a such to decorate a table with a theme beutifully asserted.

Hopefully you have been well paid for the forging and the design.

What are the dimensions?

Any details of the procedure would be welcome.

Thanks,

Yves

What a stunning bit of artistic design.

I wish I had a tenth of your creativity. That is a lovely piece in design, function and execution.

I hope you got a good price for it, because it deserves one!

I really like it, one question, is it balanced with just one wine bottle, or does it need a full group to sit?

Beautiful! I love the design! What did you use for the grapes?

It's a one of a kind wine rack, like the exquisite and intricate design. Beautiful work on the grapes and the leaves, it makes a great centerpiece on any table. Excellent job!

Thanks for all the positive feedback :) although it's not a centre piece for a table, you all gave me another idea... it's meant to hang on the wall, I liked it enough to make myself one.

it's about 30 inches long, the grapes are made from ball bearings, I cut the leaves out of 1/8 sheet with plasma then textured them after warming them in a propane forge, using a blunt chisel to make veins and peen the edges a little. then basicaly just shaped them to the curve of a bottle and rolled out the opposite way to show the leaf.  used 1/8 round stock to make stems to tie it all together. I used the leaves to hide the welds etc. a little tedious 12hrs approx start to finish... sold it for $250.
