jeremy k Posted October 5, 2013 Share Posted October 5, 2013 Here is a railing job I did that the client wanted the design to match the wall sconces, but not be to gaudy. So this is what I came up with - Scrolls on each end are made up of 10ft of 1" round bar. The client insisted I sign the railing somewhere so I stamped my name and date on it. The railing panel sits between 6" x 6" cedar posts that make up the top and bottom rail(The cedar was installed previously, I just designed and built the Panel). It's very nice indeed!Thomas - Well I guess "Gaudy" wasn't the right word I should have used - I should have said "without being to busy looking". I wanted to hint a bit of the sconce design in the panel but not over power it.It's always tough to do a partially forged job and partially fabricated job, because as you work on it - you'd like to do it "ALL" forged/fastened like the Masters did years ago but the budget seems to restrict that on some jobs.
