Been working on this for about a month in my spare time. Forged from 1 1/2" and 1" mild steel round stock. Cap and arrowhead backplate are 14 gauge. Thanks goes to Rick Jay for sharing his knowledge.

We'll have to get together some time and Ill show you :)

The only problem with steel deer is that it neccesitates the use of armor piercing ammo to take one down, and the need for a portable oxy/acetylene rig to gut it... besides the steaks must be tougher than all get out. Purty darn cool! Nice work.

I agree with Steve,

ummmm ummm aaa WOW no others words come to mind... just WOW

Nark <º))><

Oh JOHN! That is as fine a piece of work as I've seen in a long time!

No problem Duckman: AP I have and a cordless right angle grinder with cutoff blades is imminently packable.

Frankly I'm deciding which wall it should hang on as I type. Oh yeah, John, I'd like a lesson please would you mind dropping in on our next club meeting? I'm SURE the guys would love to meet you.

Frosty,
One of the few places I haven't been in my travels is Alaska. We may have to talk about a weeks room an board and a demo :)

Very nice work indeed! Amazing texture, originally i thought they were real antlers!

OddDuck---actually the rare earth magnets in the salt lick make it easy as long as the warden doesn't catch you!
