  1. Its in great shape the edges and hardie hole are basically brand new. They are so crisp. And yes the holes are threaded all the way through and theres one right after the cut table. Do you know what they are? The guy said its for tooling but I dont know what for. I yet to find clean marks on the anvil besides the weight stamp. Im going to clean it up and see what I find. Ill keep this updated.
  2. I brought this peterwright today seeing if I can get a date on it. Its 247 pounds.
  3. I have the 165# peddinghaus and I love it I've had it for almost 2 years and the face is still smooth as glass. Definitely worth the little extra money. Buy once cry once this will last for hundreds of years easy You can see the anvil in the pictures these where taken the other day. This anvil holds up to any task i've put in front of it. No chips or dents anywhere! Its truly a beast of a anvil.
  4. It looks to be a "jeb" European manufacturing anvil.
  5. Yeah :/ I just started collecting anvils so if I get any trentons ill post pictures of them for you.
  6. Theres supposed to be a casting number right? Theres one on ebay right now and it has a 41 lifted casting mark on it and its dated 1939-1940. The same year as mine and the one on ebay the serial number is 800 higher than mine.
  7. I just bought this 207 trenton and am very curious on the date. If anyone has a AIA and can date this for me I'd appreciate it. The vin number is 202102 Thanks! -beardedblacksmith

  12. Yeah I have never seen this on a anvil so I was quite confused what this was. When you check your number let me know what it is. That would be cool if our anvils are almost the same haha.
  13. Can anyone tell me a brand on this swage block? Its 18x18 by 4 1/2 wide and its 275 pounds. The markings are not there do to use.
  14. Looks to be like a mouse hole anvil. You can tell by the feet.
