  1. Thanks. I'm just having trouble adjusting my sails fast enough to get some headway.... And got thrown in a scrap gondola headed for the furnace...
  2. Opabinia comes to mind, but it's not a trilobite. It causes much confusion as to classification.....
  3. I will send you anvil rings and prayers.
  4. Looks like you win. I should know better by now. The bill is in the mail.
  5. Rojo, I love your artistic vision. Although the eye might get a suprise if someone tries to stick a key in that hole... I'd buy something from you if you ever decide to do commissions.
  6. I'm still here. I just had a landslide of troubles come my way and didn't want to spread the misery. Thanks for thinking of me Billy and I owe you an appology for not responding to your texts. I kind of gave up for a while on social media for a while. I have other amends to make too, to others. It doesn't take much to type out a short how do. Guilty..... Now then, how can we have fun with this topic....? "I heard he got crushed trying to wrestle a buffalo at the "Wild West Stampede Festival"?
  7. That videos a good addition Billy. It hits close to home to me too. It's a universal feeling (or should be). We've only had rescues and the one we love right now (Gina) is getting older. I had a doberman that I used to take for long walks near the tracks and one day she just collapsed and I had to carry her home. She developed heart trouble. It was a very emotional time for our family. According to the rescue she was kept chained to an old car in someones back yard and abused. I like to think of the good life we gave her. She was a handfull when we first got her and it took a very long time, but she turned out to be the best friend we ever had. I get a lump in my throat and tear up sometimes looking back.
  8. Would you believe me if I told you I am an advanced form of AI created years ago as an experiment?
  9. That's a good one, making an anchor. For some reason it reminds me of a thread somewhere on here of Thomas describing Ahab having a harpoon forged, shipboard.
  10. Concerning that rental car, it won't be long and AI will eliminate those pesky new computer thingy learning curves. You will just appear at your destination. Oh, please....
  11. Crossed wires + pm's about chicken sculptures. I think Ghost town posted those photos. I just didn't want my chicken sculpture photos to go viral . Our scratchblock is already done. Soon, I may not need to settle for a scatch block.
  12. Ok. What chicken are you talking about? You make me nervous now, as I sent a bunch of chicken sculptures by pm just recently. Did it go to the open forum? I give up.
  13. I won't miss it this year. We made a scratch block. I am working on casting my own iron and have all that is nessesary other than experience. I'm holding off. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/liberty-arts-7th-annual-iron-pour-fundraiser-registration-664029609437?aff=oddtdtcreator
  14. Thanks GhostTown. I love chickens. I see some sculptural inspiration there (chickens are a favorite subject of mine). They allow three birds here and you have inspired me. I might make a mini chicken tractor...
  15. Where do you suppose all those bronze originals went? Surely they can't degrade that fast. Mabey so, I have never thought about it. Looting, pillaging or destruction by other cultures? Triton might have wielded a trident, btw.
  16. I knew somebody that attached a pair of boots to some denim jeans and then stuffed them full of rags to fill them out. He then hung them out of his cars trunk and splashed some red paint all over. Ain't Halloween fun? Of course it was an old beater he used for different holidays in different ways.
  17. I guess I can't go wrong posting this one. A shipload of Iron Ore Pellets! Go ride a ship through the North Atlantic in a storm.
  18. How has this worked for you? I get cramps too. But I am using chisels on cold steel. A lot. Does it affect your accuracy and "feel"?
  19. Long, but good. Thanks. I remember running an air jack lifting railcars up to remove the trucks in mud, slime, rocks, ice and other things. I had a stuck draft gear fall on my toe once. Railroad work is hard and dangerous to this day. Not as way back when, but.....
  20. One means business and the other is just in his happy spot the way it looks. No chicken pictures?
  21. You hit the nail on the head there. Art is what's in your heart. I am reminded of an opera singer I once read about, Florence Foster Jenkins. Supposedly the worst opera singer in history. She never let that get in the way though. She was a philanthropist and once filled Carnegie Hall. I won't post a video, but look her up and give a listen. I recommend earplugs. I like Janis Joplin very much.
