  1. i found out that antefreze works fine last a long time , soke them for least 8 hours an wipe off an use .
  2. haveing a hard time figgering how to post on this site , just joined the rest been doing some rebuilding on the forge an blower , but getting it done , glad to be abord , thanks for the warm welcome
  3. i an wanting to make a new fire piot from a old farm dish blade an welding a 4 inch ring around the top to add more coal or charcaol to it with a tee thype pipe at the botton for a bolwer an ash dump , will line it with fire clay , what is your thinking on this the disk blade is about 18 inch across an will drill a tryee hole in it for climker clean out , what say u alll

Not sure if they work or not now days , it use to be 30 or40 years ago you saw them on barns an two story houses , but now days most are long gone , Not sure what about the large city buildings have for lighting stikes , some must have a way but i don;t know what , most are anquite now days , Just my 2 cents for that it worth ,not much

Hello All , just starting out again got the tools an all, I an from lafayette , ind , But can not find any coal around here any more last place quit years ago farm co-op , I cant travel to far useing oxygen full time so any great distance is out , maybe 75 miles is my range , i know there are coal mines in southern indiana an on the west side to but not sure how they sell it bags or truck loads , may have to use charcoal instead , bummer , Does any one know where ii may find some close by ??? Thanks for the warm welcome still feeling my way around here ,
  7. coal in indiana is hard to find to , unless u head south to the open pits or buy it in bags if u can find it , i also add some charcoal to it to make it go farther , , some times u can find old coke along the rail road tracks if u look for it , co-op use to sell here but stoped years ago , peabodys down south is about the only one i know of now days , that has coal unless u know some one that has it on site or land they own

  11. hello all just joined today , just figgering my around the site , working on a new forge out of a farm disk plate , use to blacksmith long time ago got most of the tools but coal is hard to find in my part of the state unless i drive a long ways to get it, no body close sells it any more here the co-op use to but quit , i got all the tools an a 70 pound anvil , i an sure i will have a lot of questions to you all , thanks for the warm welcome ,
