butted armor IS strong. chainmail was meant to stop a sword from cutting the body via slashes, even riveted and welded mail would be defeated by a piercing weapon such as a spear. ps. theringlord.com although in Canada " shipping is usually pricey" makes excellent rings especially mild steel, and stainless.

i have also heard the vitamin e thing. It worked ok for some of the other scars i've had. as for not ive been keeping the burn covered with neosporin. seems to be healing nicely (pussing quite a bit) but healing

some one noted lavender oil before. does any one else have ointments, tinctures, or otherwise cures for burns/ scaring. i don't need another huge scar on my face!

i had the compressor already, i am looking into an electric blower, or maybe going realy rustic and making a huge belows!

i was drawing out a 1" x1" square stock to fit in hardy hole and a large flake of fire scale landed right on the side of my nose and welded itself to my skin. i guess im pretty lucky that thats my worst burn.

Compressed air for coal fired forges
I use an air compressor on my coal forge and it works great. A simple plumbing valve allows me to control pressure. I don’t know how it would work with several forges thou.

auto dark welding helmets
i have little to no experience with welding, but my view is you only have one set of eyes. the extra mony is worth it if your going to be welding even occasionally.
