  3. ..thanks, IFORGEIRON (being glenn, and help from dale and a nudge from strine this side of the creek (that includes its members(and the swede))for a coupla things actually, for allowing the posts for the brisbane bunch, and continued support, cos i send the all the people i know and new members, to these forums. the ABAQLD,..ish, i would not have started the group thing, were it for primerily for the IForgeIron forum. (and the BAWA group cos this is where this thread sits hopefully not a thorn in their side ) Sat, Nov 21, 2009. Meet no. 2. What a day(hot though it was). Projects were, some beginner tapers & scrolls ( real nice for the first shot ) , a fire rake (nice!), Japanese style forging hammer, (clean up, drift and done), “THE knife” (from the boys), and a first firing for a members coke forge which started a knife blank and some reshaping of a 3lb cross pein (awesome!). And pics…….?? !!!!! (bugger!) Then there was the bbq! thanks to all that helped, and turned up.

  5. absolutely. although, if its like yesterday (tue, forging in 45 deg c heat, the other side of boonah, ill be in the aircon watching you lot via live link....lol hopefully ratel10mm will bring his forge and anvil.....again. ive had a few more enquiries.
  6. in the mornings they do the private small sales, you drive in with your trailer and they will fill it. and actually, ianr gave you the name.
  7. port kembla has it at about $260 a ton. thats a bout 2 to 3 hrs from canberra? close enough to be worth it for a small box trailer load.
  8. teach, who!? me? lol no probs. ive sent an email and made phone contact. so long as your'e under 25 yo, you've got at least 60 years experience plus, all your own tools, power hammer, press etc and can pressure vessel weld, lookin at .....mmm....at least $1.80 a day. (before gst):o

  13. nothing as yet, a newsletter or update was meant to be sent to me but as yet nothing. i do know a few of the blokes are still madly making leaves, stems, and setting up the tree in general. im sure if you were wanting to send leaves they would take them. The Tree Project
