  1. Port Kembla is a pretty big place with lots of industry.. Have you got a business name I can use? Thanks for your help so far mate.. AD
  2. G'day. I live in the ACT. As all Aussies know, ACT is known for its booming coal industry (NOT!). Now I know that a few smiths live not too far from me. (Within an hour or so). Do any of you fellas use coke? Who is your supplier? What does he charge? (My usual supplier has buggered off. He used to dash up the coast and I'd buy a $100 or so of coke off him). In future, would I be able to buy a part shipment off you or something? I still have heaps of coke, so this is not an urgent request. It's future-proofing my supplies. Cheers. AD
  3. Dave from Canberra checking in. Hobbyist. Try to get at least 1 day a fortnight in the forge playing (Sorry.. Serious work.. *cough*) With a young family (1st child born 5 weeks ago), finding time in the shed is a premium. However, I am lucky enough that the sound of me working in the forge puts my little fella to sleep. "What's that honey? He's not settling.. Did you want me to fire up my forge?" *Grin* Smithing on and off for a few years. Finally have a house (2 years now), which has a large enough garage for me to build a forge in. Took a little while to assemble it all. But it's running now. Now just redeveloping lost skills and trying to find new ones. AD
  4. hmmm. What is the particular deal with this fellow? I'm unlikely to be able to attend the full deal. However, being 1 hr away, I can most likely make a day trip of it or something. Highly unlikely I can do more than that. (Have a newborn at moment. 4 month old at the time of the event will definately constrain me in my outings). However. I'm up for swinging a hammer for a day. And anything else. AD
