  7. I have never had to disconect the batter when jump starting. The computer in a car has a "surge" protector between the computer and the battery/ alternator. If that battery explodes it could cause an EM puls and kill the computer but not a simple jump start.
  8. I name all of the meat that hits my plate. weather it is beef, pork, or deer. All get the same name and that is DINNER. :)
  9. good work on both of you. I am sure your friend will love it. :)
  10. I live in the middle of the city with 7 neighbors within a distance I could hit their yards with flux from forge weilding if I wanted to. Although I have decided to use charcoal instead of coal for the forge I am going to seriously deaden my anvil and if anyone gives me issues I have a fire police office living with me and helping out at the forge so I do not see any issues to date except I will realy need to be carefull when I am forge welding :)
  11. check here for info Atlantian A&S Links: Main there is alot of info on everything medieval not sure of any books though because it is not my area of study. :)
  12. personaly I would bend the sheet metal for the table to follow the cutouts in the fire pot. if that wasa not able to be done I would put the cutouts flush and build up the table around the rest of the pot. just my 2 cents. :)

  14. tongs are one of the few tools you can make without needing tongs. look in the blueprints there are 3-4 ways to make tongs there.
  15. thanks. the forge welding idea was just something I was thinking about and wanted to know if anyone has done it. I still might play with it on pieces that are for show not heavy combat just to see if I can do it though :)
