  1. Thanks for posting. I have to make a lilly pad and a frog for a sculpture I am working on. Thanks for posting the how to step by step.
  2. Hi folks, been working on a Koi Fish sculpture for a lady that has a patio next to a Koi fish pond. When all said and done, It will have plate steel for the base. Two large seaweeds and a Lilly pad. The fish will be welded to the metal plant stalks as if it is swimming through them. I probably hand forge a frog to put on the lilly pad.
  3. Hi folks, after years of using a propane forge, I decided to fire up my coal forge. Boy, I should have done this years ago. It is amazing at the heat you can get in a very short time compared to propane. In the pic I was tying my first axe head using coal. I learned my first lesson, if it is left in there too long, it will burn up. With propane, I could watch the color I was getting. Anyway, I found that it heats my shop better than propane..Using a hair dryer for air until I get an old hand crank. Having a great time with coal !
  4. Nice job Waid, if you marry her, you just created a family heirloom that will pass from one hand to another for many years.
