I have a litteral ton of tool steel. Round square hex..you name it....I was at my pops today and pulled a hex piece out and said it will make a perfect chisel. He said he thought it was "Stenner" anyone ever hear of stenner steel???? FP

I have a double horn also...I have a Nimba Centurian..260# One horn is round ...(on the right) the other horn is square and thats on the right... I am right handed...

go out and get A Blacksmith Primer, by Randy McDaniels...Its a great starter book and just follow page by page ...till you get to the middle of the book you will know what to make.....

If you wear gloves i have heard you wanna wear 100%cotton. Any type of plastic can melt on to you ...no fun! 99% of the time I do not wear gloves. Randy McDaniels has been tellin everyone not to try the kevlar type cause they melt also. If you are wearing gloves they should be able to come off super easy....

I was just at a demo by Randy McDaniels. He wrote the Blacksmith Primer. He took a piece of coil spring straightened it out. He then tells you to make your mark....then you mirror it....then take some chiseld and carve the bugger out....then heat treat it....and he just uses water to quench.
