OKay, Okay... I know this subject has been beat to death in forum after forum but I never paid attention to it because I normally don't mess with period demos. HOWEVER, last night I agreed to demo for a mid-1800's heritage days sort of event in the closest city to me (about 40 miles). Now I'm NOT going to try to find a costume, but I do need to know what to do about a hat. I have to wear a hat when I'm forging, so I might as well try not to be TOO obnoxiously out of era with my typical ball cap that says "Centaur Forge" or "Stihl" or "Massey Furgeson" or whatever. Hello. Just watched 2 amazing films, First: Garden State, with Natalie Portman and Zach Braff, kinda art-film/chickflic. Slow moving but one of those films that you sit back and say, "My god, that was a good film, I am content now." It's about a guy played by Zach Braff whose parents live in New Jersey, and he hasn't seen them in 9 years, but comes back when his mother dies, but stands back at the funeral. His dad is his psychiatrist and is convinced that he is "angry". The guy meets Natalie Portman, and they just become really good friends, and it's about their relationship. Fine, fine film. How is the best way to store a standard car or truck 12v battery? It is fairly new and taken out of service. I want to keep it in good condition in case one somewhere fails and this can be used as a replacment. Thank You

two days ago at school another student bent a paperclip into a U shape and stuck it into the electric outlet for $2 :shock: . Yes, two dollars. Sparks flew everywhere and it burnt his fingers. Hes the same age as me. Ive know not to stick anything thats not supose to go in the outlet forever. But I spent my elementry grades in a rural farm school. Are we forgetting to teach people the basics ( and this is the most common sense thing that everyone should know)? or are we just getting dumber. And lets also take this time to remember that water and electricity dont mix, and sticking things in the outlets that aren't supose to go in the outlets is a bad idea. Please tell m…

Does anyone know if the 3-point hitch draw bars are anything special, or are they simple mild steel? I "loaned" mine to someone and it disappeared. So has the loanee. I know they are rated by category, but my tractor isn't a monster. It's a MF utility with the Perkins 3-cyl diesel. Seems criminal to pay for something so easy to make. I could probably finish it in the time it takes me to go to town to get one.
