February 25, 200917 yr Coat rack I made for my aunt's wedding gift. This is my biggest project so far and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Main vine part was tapered down from 20mm round mild steel with no striker or power hammer, talk about a workout.
February 25, 200917 yr Very well done! A lot of work in that but obviously a labour of love. Great! Terry
February 25, 200917 yr Very Nice - I've made a rose here and there and leafs galour but working it all together into a piece like is something I have yet to tackle - well done! I am sure your aunt will cherish this for a long time to come
February 25, 200917 yr that is a real nice rose vine! you have done a good job blending the vine ofshoots into the main vine! now you need to make a table or chair in the same vien! table with glass top to show off the roses! good job!
February 25, 200917 yr Very nicely done and I understand the labor I did some tapering of thick metal and you did a beatiful job of the tapering.
February 25, 200917 yr Very graceful curves. I have seen some "free-flowing" sculptures that look like a bicycle that got run over by a dump truck. Very nicely done.
February 25, 200917 yr Author Thanks for all the complements. As far as mounting goes that was the most difficult part of the project, as i didn't want to give away the surprise so couldn't ask them for wall stud spacing. As they are renovating their house i decided to leave the way it was mounted until after they received it so i could find out the relevant information instead of just guessing and getting it wrong.
