February 28, 20251 yr I recently ordered a Majestic Forge from Majesticforge.com they are out of Ohio. Brian seems to be the owner or manager as his name is listed on the website to contact. It doesn't matter which form of communication you try to use, you can't reach anyone. The voice mail box is full and can't receive any new messages or the contact us form on the website is "frozen", trying to reach Brian by email goes unanswered. I ordered a forge at the beginning of this year and it hasn't come yet and of course no way to communicate. I feel like this site has gone out of business or it was a scam. I am out over $800.00 for a forge I probably will never see. Has anyone else had a similar experience with them?
February 28, 20251 yr First off, welcome to IFI. I have had no experience with that company. But I'm sure someone will come along shortly with some info. Plus, If you put a general location in your profile, someone here may be pretty close to you. And where you are vs where the company is may well be a very long distance.
March 1, 20251 yr How did you make your payment? A credit card company should be able to claw back payment from an unfulfilled order.
March 2, 20251 yr That works JD. When you edit your profile in one place the forum software changes it everywhere. No need to go through your history and change them all. Frosty The Lucky.
March 6, 20251 yr Author I checked Majestic Forge's Facebook page and Instagram page and both are disabled as well as his contact page of his website, voice mailbox is full and email doesn't respond. No way to communicate.
March 7, 20251 yr Have you contacted your credit card company? There's a relevant thread in one of the Reddit blacksmithing discussions. I'll PM you the link; it looks like a lot of people have been having the same issue.
April 15, 20251 yr From a small amount of research it appears that there are a number of folks in the same boat. I also saw one post indicating that someone who had ordered their forge in early December finally got it delivered recently. I think there have been significant upheavals, but the company is still trying to honor their commitments. However, based on this level of service I would consider alternatives. One major selling point for their forges was the support for re-lining kits. If I had to order one I would certainly include a relining kit with the original order since all gas forges will almost definitely need to be relined eventually. I found the following explanation post online as well (presumably from February of this year):
April 16, 20251 yr A search of the state's LLC registry should reveal whatever information needed in order to contact the owner. There is always the option of reporting to the BBB and any state agency responsible, but if the owner /operators are willing to continue to fulfill orders, it may be the right thing to wait it out if there is communication.
