stringstalker82
With the price of heavy steel being what it is, would 1/2" plate steel with 2" square tube legs 1/8" wall work?
swedefiddle
Good Morning, Plenty Good. That stand will hold up a Kenworth. Cap the bottom of the legs and mostly fill with sand, it takes away the hollow ring. Who cares what colour you paint it and how you do the Flames, make it YOURS. Enjoy the journey, there is no destination but the Seenery is stunning. There is no Test!! The Blacksmith Police are Hammered!! Neil
JHCC
Yes, that would be fine. Also, keep your eye out for salvage opportunities: the stand in my avatar picture is made from an I-beam I got for free from a local demolition job.
ThomasPowers
3 of my stands are all scrapyard materials. The anvils don't care!
BIGGUNDOCTOR
Tree trimming services can provide a stump. Even here in the desert there is no shortage of scrap wood from dunnage and crating.
