Stormcrow
My donation piece this year for Knife Right's Ultimate Steel fundraiser: 13.5" blade forged from 80CrV2, marine epoxy-impregnated black-over-tan paracord handle wrap, black Kydex sheath. I'd rather sweat and feed mosquitos in my shop than wrestle with lawyers and politicians. Thanks, guys!
Lou L
That's a desirable implement right there! The paracord, in this case, is the perfect handle IMO. Survivalist chic. You will raise many funds.
Will W.
SWEEEEEEEEET!!! I love it. Has a post apocalyptic/survival feel to it, but it doesnt go crazy with it like most knives of those categories do. Fantastic work.

Stormcrow
Thanks, guys! For anyone in Texas, there is going to be a Bring Your Own Bowie event at the Alamo on Saturday, September 2, the day after the new laws go into effect. I won't get the go because I'll be at the USN Gathering show in Las Vegas, but there will be plenty of local makers representing. Including some of my fellow Texan Forged in Fire champions. https://kniferights.org/legislative-update/knife-rights-byob-bring-your-own-bowie-at-the-alamo/
Benton Frisse
James, your stuff rocks!
Stormcrow
I was off at the USN Gathering knife show the day of the Bring Your Own Bowie at the Alamo, but Knife Rights ended up postponing the event due to Hurricane Harvey anyway. Some local knife makers and enthusiasts came anyway.

Yeah, gotta wonder what they're smiling about when they look at you like that. I was going to make a crack about sinuous brush but your friends have convinced me to be more serious. Frosty The Lucky. True, every time I hold the Seax I'm finishing from Theo's collaboration it puts a smile on my face. I'm still not a bladesmith guy. and I can prove it by the number of times I've screwed it up. Hopefully not permanently but. . . It's a darned good thing my home built 2" x 72 grinder is slow and wimpy or I would've killed it long ago. Of course if I'd made a sword first . . .
