Frosty
A friend of mine sent this pic to me a couple days ago. Seems in the last couple few weeks a fellow here was asking about restoring a forge that looks an awful lot like one of these little charmers. Frosty The Lucky. jeremy k
Wonder if they were sold with a few bags of coal.
Andrew Martin
I'd be willing to bet a blacksmith thought of that! Wonder what they payed him for a centuries old idea?
ThomasPowers
Well as Buffalo Forge had been making blacksmithing tools since 1878 I'd bet most of the Bosses already were using rivet forges for BBQs
Andrew Martin
Lol, was that little grill really made by Buffalo? I thought it was some kind of tongue-in-cheek pun...
ThomasPowers
I have a cast iron BBQ that was made by a cast iron stove maker around the same time when their core markets were eroding and so they branched out into new areas. Forge blower companies also made air exchange blowers for bomb shelters around then too..
D.C.
That is hilarious! Creative marketing at its best.
Jim Coke
Frosty, Another picture.. They even made a smaller version for camping. I have one and the main difference is there is no ash dump. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
Frosty
Sweet Jim. If Buffalo still in business, I wonder what they charge for a new one? Like the add I posted a cook can produce a repast Duncan Hines would rave about. Any one of these babies would be easier than packing my cast iron rivet forge, heck I bet the blower weighs more than an entire Broil-Air. Frosty The Lucky.
