Frosty
Actually that's a smelter but it'd work as a forge. I REALLY like this guy he makes some excellent videos, great survival skills. Plane wrecked somewhere and the longer it takes to find him and the nicer his place will be. Seriously, heated bed, tile roof, fire place and oven started out as a grass hut and mud. ThomasPowers
I think he could have built a bellows that would have worked better than trying to reproduce a "modern" tool with crude technology.
tjdaggett
He's still going. He uses the money from his videos to buy more of Australia. Really interesting stuff. I love that he works only with what he has in his--atmittedly expansive--backyard. Thomas, what would you do differently?
ThomasPowers
Build a bellows: either western European or Asian or the bowl bellows, satchel bellows or even one of the Asian feather ones using feathers in a tube. I think they would all work better and have a MUCH longer use life! If you were transported into a low tech environment would you try to build a microwave oven or a fire? pnut
A set of double bowl or jar bellows gets my vote. Pnut
