hiltsbilt
Made a YouTube video of making some tongs, not a "how too" I'm not really at the stage where I think I can do a how too yet. Here it is https://youtu.be/IFV_1qNAy_U

ThomasPowers
I did quite a bit of small work using a 1 firebrick forge and a cheap plumber's propane torch in my basement in Columbus Ohio in the winter. Much niver than "outdoors".
hiltsbilt
Ya that part of my shop is not heated, you can see my breath in the video, but with the forge going and swinging the hammer only my feet are cold.
John B
Hiltsbilt, You may find the pivot boss would be better positioned if you forged the handle rein from the opposite side to the one you have done previously on the jaw end, and not the same side as you seem to have done in the video. Still you got a good pair of working tongs, the next lot will be an improvement as you gain more confidence. Have fun and enjoy.
