RogueGeek
There are my first hooks. 5/16 mild steel. Using a two brick, plumbers torch forge. These are quite fun to make. I can't wait to get my large gas forge going so I can make more and larger projects. - Brian

Bad Creek Blacksmith
Like the J-hooks, I started to put two holes in my J-hooks that way they don't swing back and forth and mark up the wall.

Charles R. Stevens
The second can be smaller for an interesting visual effect. Especialy with hand forged nailes
Frosty
If you want counter sunk holes for screws counter punch before punching through it's much easier and gives a cleaner result.Nice hooks. Once you get the process down you'll start playing with different finials on the wall side, twists and textures. J hooks are excellent test beds for experimenting with finials, twists, etc.Frosty The Lucky.
