matei campan
hello!here's a chef knife I made. it's forged from 20mm diameter 115CrV3 (silver steel), has a blade just a bit over 20cm (8inch). the handle is brushed wenge (unfortunately, the photos aren't good enough to see the texture well)

LastRonin
Absolutely beautiful. As a home cook and not a chef, I can't even imagine what a tool of that quality and workmanship would cost. I'm sure that for the professiinals who use them for a living they are reasonable. Alas, I shall admire and drool.
Frosty
It's almost too perfect Matei, the unrefined observer would never believe it was hand forged. You gotta be a metal head who knows your work to believe it's hand made.I need to look up the wood, the texture looks like it'd give a good solid grip and it's a splendid contrast to the blade.Frosty The Lucky. LastRonin
I was given a piece of wenge by one of the guys at the Navy Dive Training center I was working on the alarm system at. That, some purpleheart and some padauk. I have them stored away for when I get good enough.
