March 19, 201511 yr I have a leg vise, I'll post pics I'm going to fix the (screw box)? just can't find any pics on how it should be placed or mounted I have a couple others but there not like this one and does it look like there needs to be anything else I'm missing .thx Edited March 19, 201511 yr by SAH
March 19, 201511 yr to me it looked like it was already a replacement as it didn't have the tube that fit inside of the eye of the back leg and offered protection for the screw in use.The projection is supposed to key into the eye to keep the screwbox from rotating, if it does that well then that's probably all there was for the replacement.
March 20, 201511 yr Author Thx! Do you have or can you send me a pic even a drawing to know what I should be looking at,of how it should look it dont have to be OEM but I would like to get as close as possible. (using a phone as a computer bites)
April 24, 201511 yr hi guys im actually restoring a leg vise as well, and got lucky to come across this thread but its raising questions, is it normal that mine doesent have the screw box washer? i do have the thrust washer though...
April 24, 201511 yr Good Morning,I like to use a throw-out bearing at the thrust washer as well. Less friction, more pinch, EASY to undo.Cost of Throw-out bearing? Mine are free. I rescue them from the scrap when a Clutch gets replaced.Neil
April 24, 201511 yr nice thanks for the tip neil but i was just wondering if its normal to have only 1 of the 2 washers on mine or did they all have 2
