How to get rid of smoke in the work area?

Featured Replies

Moved from another thread not related to chimneys.

Install a small stack. Really helps minimize all that smoke during forging.

I'm gonna work on a stack once we get home. One that's removable so it's not bad to move in and out still just has to be tall enough to get it over head level

Thank goodness cause I'm tired of getting smoked out.

Just take things in to your own hands, Marcy. If he doesn't get the stack fixed, you do it. He will be both proud of you and embarrassed that his wife had to do it

Charles,  what you're doing is called stirring, and that's not nice :) but don't let that stop you :)

Nick would be awfully upset if I had to build the stack, mostly because I would never let him live it down.

Oh let him live it down Darlin. You'd still get the satisfaction of putting a spur to him, clear the smoke and NOT creating a long term hot button.

Of course if he came home and found you with the parts laid out just working on it I'm pretty sure it'd get done soon. Very soon, maybe right then. <wink>

The best way is to pretend it never happend. If you "never let him live it down" he can have the satisfaction of being mad at him. Its like "i told you so" I find that not saying it is so much more ircsome.

you could just open all the doors and windows and turn on the air evacuator

Naw, that won't work Richard, she wants the smoke evacuated, not the air. Nice thought though.
