navasky
This is my first try at roses. I'm pretty happy with them but ended up leaving some plier scratches in the petals. Any ideas on how to avoid that?
swedefiddle
I use snap ring pliers with the tips ground off. They make excellent, tiny scrolling tongs. Who cares if you upset the heat treat, Neil
njanvilman
Dedicate a pair of needle nose pliers to this and grind of the serrations on the jaws and the edges. Or find a pair of scrolling pliers with the tapered round jaws and use them. I always texture the petals before shaping, so minor marks just blend in anyway. ausfire
Very nice roses there! Brass left, copper right?? Interested to know how you connected them to the stem. The Valentine recipient will be most impressed!
navasky
Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys. Ausfire, yes they're brass and copper, the stem just goes through the petals and then is peened over them. I heat colored the copper one today

T.J.watts
The needle nose pliers work pretty well that's what I use
