November 26, 201312 yr Good morning, I have recently come across a new (to me) anvil. I was wondering if anyone could give me any sort of idea of the identification of the manufacturere. The three numbers stamped on the side are: 3..3..5 Any help would be appreciated..

November 27, 201312 yr I have owned a few like that peter wright and other unmarked . We would call them a ship writes anvil or dockyard anvil here. the step at both bickes differentiates them from the continental anvils. looks like a fine anvil.

You rarely see ones like that in good condition so they obviously had hard lives. All the best Andy
