Gor
I have a hard time following everything he says, but his work speaks for itself. Great hammer control, and interesting thoughts on the direction of his craft and manufacturing in general.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpeyhC-UIFg

DanielC
Thanks a ton. I liked how he used a bar of hot steel to temper the blade. Good tip!
bnewberry
That was a really interesting video. Amazing what a man can do if he repeats something a few million times. I liked the pride he had in the knives he makes as well.
Stormcrow
Very interesting. I had wondered about what kinds of dies fit into the dovetails on a cutler's anvil ever since seeing a picture of one. The one he uses to forge the bevel is similar to the dies I have on my power hammer for forging bevels. It's amazing to consider that he was able to forge out two gross of blades per day. That's a lot of work!

bnewberry
Wouldn't you have loved to shake his hand? I bet he had a grip of iron. I can't imagine two gross of knives in a day's work. That is simply amazing.
