well I had to make some quickie doors for the shop to keep the wind out, and the snow, at least they look ok from the street !

Sweet shop..  What's retired?... Now the real work begins.....  I see you live in NY..   How are you going to heat the building ?   No smoke stacks for the forges ?   I love the doors ... Lots of room to bring in the power hammers...      When is your first demo ?

Looking fantastic, I like those flames!

although I'm currently using a "torpedo" heater, the plan for heat is a pot belly stove, the forges will have an exhaust blower,  I like the clean look without four stacks poking through the roof. As for the flames, I think I have to redo them, they trail off to low to soon

I think you should listen to your wife.  She has a great idea, it will be a stunning design.

Either way it will look great, land I just love your shop.

BTW I retired about 3 months ago and over the two years prior to that I built and setup up a small (450 sq ft) shop in our inner suburban back yard. I sort of completed it about the time I retired so right now I am having a great time.
