The first screams "BUTTERFLY" at me, but I only get a pleasant feel from the second. I really like the texture in the ring on the second piece. Very nice for both.

The first is a butterfly, the second was just a few extra elements left over from several jobs put together in a shape I liked.

I just mig weld the back of my wall hangings. I turn the welder up high and give small but deep penatrating weld.
I would collar the touching points, but I thought it would take away from the lines on these two projects.
I have some others that I weld and collar.

I love your work - both are equally beautiful and certainly artwork.
I like the butterfly the most . That is an unusual twist on the body section - one I haven't seen used before now.
