brianbrazealblacksmith
Here is another tool I just added to my shop. I got the idea from the WCB [World Championship Blacksmiths]. They just bought some wooden TV trays to throw their tools on while they are competing. I use it while I'm on the road doing the hammer making classes and in my shop where ever I need it. I can put alot of tools on it.
Dick L.
Hello Brian, In the 4th photo, what is the 3rd tool from the top on the right side. It looks like a bottom tool for doing a line or viening a leaf etc. Great table design too ! Dick
brianbrazealblacksmith
That is for making feathers. It makes a raised quill.
ggraham
Brian, looks like it might fold up for storage and transportation. If it does, how did you accomplish this, a slotted hole on one side? George
brianbrazealblacksmith
Yes it does fold up just like a TV tray. I think this picture may show the catch mechonism.
brianbrazealblacksmith
Maybe it didn't, but yes, it does have a slotted hole on one side. It's just like a TV tray.
Dick L.
That is for making feathers. It makes a raised quill. Thanks Brian, did you use it to do the copper leaves you made for the Tree Project or was that fold forming? Dick
brianbrazealblacksmith
The leaves were fold formed. I don't have any pictures of feathers, maybe I'll do some today.

fat pete
i think the feathers would be a good Blue Print.....
odleo
Good looking table. Can you tell me about how much it weighs. I am always looking for ways to make or get equipment that can be put away easily when not used. My shop is small and I am always running out of room. Maybe when the economy gets better I can add on or build a new shop
brianbrazealblacksmith
The main frame itself doen't weigh more than 10 pounds, but when I load it up with tools it gets pretty heavy. By the way, all those tools were made by hand with a striker or by myself.
ggraham
Maybe it didn't, but yes, it does have a slotted hole on one side. It's just like a TV tray. Thanks, nice clean lines and simple. I like it. George
hammerkid
what thickness of plate did you use for the Table top Brian? I REALLY like the idea going go build one ASAP. I`ve been needing a table /tool holder for demos and for around the shop. Chris
brianbrazealblacksmith
That was a piece of 1/8" diamond plate that I found in the scrap pile. If you bend it it will be stronger, and it comes on and off.
hammerkid
Ok I ve got some plain 1/8" plate I`am going use. Chris
