eddiebrug
Hi everyone, I'm new here and thought I'd ask all of ya'll this question to act as sort of an ice breaker. So with all your experiences, what is by far the best cutting disc you have used? For me, its the Smith & Arrow discs works just great. It's cheap and durable for its price. So, what's yours? Frosty
Welcome aboard Eddie, glad to have ya. I don't know how to answer your question, I've never used a cutting disk to break ice. How's it work? If you'll click "User CP" at the top of the page and edit your profile to show your location it can make a big difference. IFI is represented by members from more than 50 countries and a lot of info is location specific. Frosty
Finnr
I thought ice breakers were big old boats? Seriously I can't remember the name of the disks I use off hand . I get quality ones through my welding supplier. Finnr

welder19
I prefer either Walter Zip Cut or Norton, I have found them to be far more superior than most. welder19
ChrisB
Local Welding supply carries the SAIT disks they work really good and seem to last longer than the dewalt ones from lowes.
horseshoe182
Hello and welcome eddiebrug At work we use Pferd brand grinding and cutting, sizes are for cutting, 5" dia. 1mm thick, 9" dia. 1.9mm thick. They work good. I don,t buy 'em so I don,t care about the cost. Wouldn,t waste my time with a 4" grinder (I call them welding grinders cos thats about all there good for) Cheers Michael
