  1. Good to know Frosty! I just used what I had, and a reason I definitely don’t drop from above 10”.
  2. All I currently have is a 3/4in bearing and from 10” it rebounds between 8-9” on most of sweet spot and I’d say 6-8” everywhere else.
  3. After a few yrs of watching/searching for good deals, I finally snagged my first anvil up for a decent price here around me in KS. Picked up a Peter Wright so I guess my addiction to the hobby can get underway!
  4. Thomas if i buy it yes, but i cant before buying it.
  5. I assume no way to tell without tearing it apart?
  6. I actually did find a pic like it finally also Billy. Found it a few miles from me, he said blower needs a little work but who knows may just have some rust and debris in it. I feel like his price is decent now compared to a year ago when i first found it.
  7. That'll look good next to the little HB Billy!
  8. Not currently, need to go look in person. Will see if theres anything on it that he didnt picture.
  9. Anyone that can help identify this forge and blower from these pics?
  10. Another thanks on a great post. I love seeing history like this, the older i get the more id like to visit that area of the country for the history.
  11. Thats a beautiful setup and looks like it will be a workhorse!
  12. Nice work on that piece!
  13. Thomas you can have some of our rain from KS if youd like. Its been steady for 2 days now. Come to think of it hasn't been a week in a while where it didnt rain a few inches at least.
  14. Billy that was a good haul id say!
  15. Thats what im hopin for! Lol. Already been hauling scrap steel and useful things from the new job that they call junk!
  16. Im trying up here now, getting some feelers down around the area im working now and started to meet more people.
  17. TW that overpaid statement kills me! Lol. That'd go for 3-4 around me!
  18. I could tell by that profile! I have a ball peen that im going to convert also at some point.
  19. JHCC looks like a good day! I like that set hammer!
  20. Looks like a good turn out and a great time! Hopefully i can make it in the future. Good to hear you like the sand stand.
  21. Trevor84 looks good! Billy, the bob white i know has been making more of a comeback up here in KS also the last few years. Nodebt you hit the nail on the head with the habitat for upland for sure. Everytime i turn around theres another crop field that windrows have been cut out of or for heavens sake all the crp thats expiring now and not being preserved for wildlife habitat and the ecological impact it carries for many species including us. I could go on for days but it boils down to more money for folks elsewhere other than providing habitat.
  22. That is cool, guys like him sure have a talent! Great attention to detail and realistic.
  23. I didnt figure it would have much effect but didnt know. Will be nice to get a feel of opinions from others on it.
  24. Just curious, is rebound typically affected much with a sand filled stand?
  25. Looks like a pretty decent score there!
