Thanks!! I built a template, and it worked for the most part but i still made the walk more often than not. Had i included the window trim in my mock up it would have helped alot. Im a crappie carpenter lol

Seen this old chain fall behind my friends house and asked him about it, said its going in the dumpster, take it if you want. I said DEAL! Will look great above my new assembly table.

There all the pictures are up i hope! I couldn't have picked a much harder place to fit that too. Took a lot of walking back and forth to the house.

Wow, fantastic job on that hammer! Im not far from feeling confident enough to start my railing/gate projects. -
My first organic functional art piece. Its about half scrap i picked out of the woodstove at work. What do you guys think?? Only have one bottle of wine at the moment and for some reason its covered in welding pocks, some minor 2nd degree burns and slag. Hahaa Hope you all like it, my wife loves it and this project has won me some serious points

Thanks, realy pretty happy with it as my first hammer. Learned alot! My trapping hammer is a cheap 3 lb sledge with a piece of flat welded on the back for digging a trap bed in hard/frozen ground. The other end is for driving trap stakes. We trap yotes in our spare time. -

I did just that, its a trapping hammer I promised a friend when i first started smithing. Im unhappy with it in so many ways but it will have to do. He pushed me into the project so any flaws are on his sholders lol. I knew i wasn't ready but hey, I knocked out my first hammer!! I cheated a bit with the torches and welder, also had to get creative with the handle making as the eye is way off. Shoud work well for his application though. All in all im just glad its over ! Lol -

My slitter was one of the first things i made. Its far from strait. Never thought about the problems that would cause. A bent slitter is like a rutter on a boat. Duh! Im going to do just that jhcc, will make a nice top tool. Thx! -
