  5. Keeton, If you post your location. I am sure someone in your area will be able to help you with resources and information.
  6. Thanks! This building cost $16.00 a sq. ft. That will be complete. The actual cost of the building is $10.50 a sq. ft. I contracted it myself and called in past favors from some old ironworking buddies to help erect it. I have 312 man hours to put it up. I am lining the inside lenght of the building with T-11 siding also. I will post some pictures on a thread I started a few months ago on shop floors of the inside floor when I finish. It will be 1/2 concrete and 1/2 crushed stone 1/4 minus. If anyone decides to build a building like this I would be happy to give advise. The first is to do your home work on suppliers. There are some sales practices out there that are worst than used car salesman. Yes Glenn I hold service every morning now when I go out and open the doors and thank God for another day! :D
  7. I just finished putting up a new shop for myself inside peak height is 12'6".
  8. Yesterday it was 100 and with two forges running in the shop it was about 125 and I have a swamp cooler running also. Like Bentiron say's " It's a dry heat " it still hot. Forcast is 107 for the weekend. B)
  9. Nice job and design! It suits the bar well.
  10. Nice job PEP! I see why you have won some national welding competions. ;)
  11. Here in Tucson, yesterday I bought 6 - 1/2" solid HRRS it was $10.79 for 20ft. Which works out to be .81 cents per pound. CS tubing is running about $1.25 per pound. In January this year the same HRRS was $8.26 for 20ft. I remember 10 years ago steel was .28 to .35 cents per pound and had not changed much in the years prior to that. Then the Chinese came in and started to buy up auto salvage yards, hole lock stock and barrel and drove up the price of scrap through the roof. I really hate to buy stuff from China and support the Red Army but anymore sometimes I have no choice.

  16. ATNEA $1,000,000.00 Liability policy. Covers my equipment of loss or stolen. Damage to private property, and people in my shop for demos. Also if I am renting industrial space. I pay $1500.00 a year
  17. I agree witn SASK MARK and Glenn . Use it, abuse it, and get to know it. From your photos it looks like it might clean up allright. When my anvils heat up and after a using them, I usually spray them down with WD-40 then rub it in while they are warm. It give them a nice patina over time.
