  1. WHATS YOUR 10-20?

  2. I am going to see a cantankerous, old, smelly, hard headed, COLLECTOR. (SPIT) who has had a 2b sitting outside in the weather for some twenty plus years. Likely the only piece of that machine that aint rusted solid and is still servisable would be the anvil. If i survive the encounter with him and he is somewhat reasonable about selling ANYTHING, whats it worth? He is near False River La. right next to nowhere and shipping may be an issue. I hate to go there, it's likely make me mad, when i see a PILE of anvils just rusting away! COLLECTORS! (SPIT)!!!
  3. It dont make me no nevermind, which way the anvil points as long as the flat side is up.
  4. want a possum?

  5. we Pray. I hope the family can bear the stress, and continue with the support the patient needs right now.

    Painted Anvil

beautiful color on that anvil,I think you can get some nail polish to match, won't that be the bees knees!
  7. Cancer in right kidney was my wake-up call. caused a total change of lifestyle, and atttitudes, Before operation nothing hurt and ALL things were on menu. Here in cajun country all things means ALL things, fried, hot, salty, and tasty. Just no good for you. Now after operation (august 2010) I have plenty of pain to offer up to our Lord, and eat the healthy stuff willingly, and have lost 13 lbs. and look foreward to getting back to the forge after all healed up and pain free. Bentiron i feel for you bro. P.S. it is my opinion 30 years of TIG welding in those plants caused my cancer, cadmium poisoning. But who do you sue?
  8. I hope you got a hundred dollars a flower for that rush job. Ever notice when a gift holiday is fast approaching, the calls you get are sometimes vere strange, Like you are supposed to be stocked up at all times with EVERYTHING!
  9. Of all the tools and equipment in the shop, the bench grinder causes the most injuries and accidents by far. Things are as dangerous as a monkey with a machine gun. I prefer to use my hand held grinders with flap wheels,or disks, either free in hand, or clamped in vise. (I always buy the grinders that can be locked on )it can be changed to horizontal or vertical easily and allows more access to the wheel.A bench grinder with an un-guarded wire wheel scares me even when it is not running.
  10. See the book,"The Golden Section" by Scott Olsen.ISBN 1 904263 47 X

  23. I just cannot stop watching this video. One time to see product, another to see all i can of shop and tools. another to try to pick up hints that are in his technique, too subtle to be mentioned in commentary. See how he goes to hardy and hammer is there to steady work before he strikes, and so much more to see, that tool that is in the hardy hole when he brings weld together, whats it called? what is it for? and the scarf on cold piece. what a MASTER !
  24. Dude! you are ten times more tooled up than MANY who have just joined. welcome to your new obsession! Study and learn, feel welcome.
