I'm really hooked.
I smack around my first bit of hot steel today. Went to the New York State Designer Blacksmiths Adirondack Chapter meeting. I over cooked my stock a little, but had a absolutely great time. I learned a ton, and got all the critical parts to build a LP Gas forge, met a bunch of great guys. This is a very addictionly fun hobby. Steve

G'day all.
I been lurking about for a few days, reading and learning a little. Thought I should say hello finally. I am located about an hour due south of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada just south of the St. Lawrence River in New York. I haven't done any smithing as yet, just began a search for tooling. Been fairly interested since learning my Great Great Granddad was the village Blacksmith in one of the neighboring communities.
