September 21, 200916 yr I been lurking about for a few days, reading and learning a little. Thought I should say hello finally. I am located about an hour due south of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada just south of the St. Lawrence River in New York. I haven't done any smithing as yet, just began a search for tooling. Been fairly interested since learning my Great Great Granddad was the village Blacksmith in one of the neighboring communities.
September 21, 200916 yr Welcome aboard Saw, glad to have ya. It's a great craft to learn whether for fun or profit or both. There's no end to the journey if you love learning and challenges. Best of all you have to play with fire HAVE to I say and beat things into submission with hammers. It just doesn't get better than that. It helps if you can spin a good yarn too. Frosty
