door handles

These are some door handles I had been working on. Total length 18" forged from 13-1/2" of 3/4" square stock. - JK

Great proportions! Can you post a side view, please. I'm curious how the standoff/collar transistion is handled. I like the veining in the twists, very smooth! Steve Tribett

The standoffs are pcs of 1/2" sqaure chiseled on all 4 sides lengthwise and are 1-3/4" long tig welded to the back of the collars and to the mounting plate. Also, the picture is deceiving - they are both 18" long. Thanks - JK

Very nice Jeremy, they would look awesome on a pair of large wooden doors. Are the facets at the ends done by hand or power hammer? I've been thinking about that feature on some wall sconces.

Great job, Jeremy. I'd be proud to display handles like that on any wooden door. Beautiful.

Jeremy,

Nice design of the mounting plates. How did you connect the standf off piece under the collar, weld or brad?

The symmetry on faceted finials is an eye catcher, pleasing to the eye, the perfect ending.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank You everyone for your compliments

Ian - the ends are done by hand/treadle hammer, and yes they went on large wood covered refrigerator doors - 6ft wide refrigerator.

Peter - the stand offs are welded to the collar
