I Forge Iron

Tool or Toy?

Recommended Posts

I have some larger that are hydraulic and they were used to move press dies from the presses to the benches to be taken apart  to repair or sharpening.  I use them now to load and unload heavy stuff from truck and move around shop sometimes put a piece of plywood on it and lift lawnmower to work on.  This would have many uses for you.  Can't tell how heavy made but looks decent.

I think that is what was used in a laboratory to elevate beakers and flasks and such.  You may have seen pictures of set ups where there are bunches of beakers, retorts, glass tubing and Bunsen burners while some guy in a lab coat writes notes on his clip board and bunches of colored liquid bubbles through the maze of glassware.
