CorLupi Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Hey, does anyone know of a good place or a good person to contact to get a fire-pot? I just bartered for a new forge base and need to get a good fire-pot for it... Thanks Quote
Thomas Dean Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Centaur Forge has them, Blacksmith Depot I believe, but first check with you local ABANA affiliate, there may be a member that has a good fire pot but the rest of the forge is shot. Just a thought. Do a search to get the above URL's. Quote
brianbrazealblacksmith Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 The best fire pot in America that I have seen on the market today is made by Roger Lorrance, I tried to contact him directly, but was unsuccessful. Amy Pieh carries his firepot, and for the money, its the best deal out there. Your firepot is the heart of your operation. Quote
bill83 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I second the vote for a 'Lorrance' firepot! I'm trying to save up for one myself. Quote
Dutchmancreek Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I bought mine from Centaur Forge and I've been very pleased with it. Steve Quote
781 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Here is Roger's email address[email protected] Roger Lorance Belflower, IL Not sure if he has any in stock Quote
ThomasPowers Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Might be able to find one at the IBA conference in early June; or ask at a meeting if anyone had a used one they'd sell. Quote
