Lets not forget expansion and contraction of the metal when hot working it too!   (I used to have a shrink rule for laying out casting patterns; each side had a scale for a different metal; so when you drew and built the pattern and cast that metal in it; it would shrink to the exact right size upon cooling.)

well unless it’s commissioned work then you might double check what the customer actually wants! An maybe do a little measuring… lol
