Soko Forge
Hi ThomasPowers, I have only my small anvil, some hand hammers, swedges, anvil tools etc. Had to reduce a lot of my stuff as way back in years, moving 200+lbs. dies air hammer(chambersburg steam/air) broken parts in my back. I’m at present building a new propane forge for some of my stuff I’ve been working on. What you working on?
ThomasPowers
Right now getting electricity in my shop. Been here 17 years and am looking at retirement soon so time to get the shop fixed up! By "small anvil" you mean around 100# right? I recently sold a "medium sized anvil", 248# PW; but a number of people pointed out that that is not "medium" to them! Soko Forge
My anvil is about 100lbs. give or take a few, someone broke the heel off it so I repaired it and it works well now.
ThomasPowers
When I was first hunting for a "large" anvil; I kept going to auctions advertising a "Large Anvil" only to find out the auctioneer was calling anything over 50# large. They were used to the 9# nail straightening bench anvils I guess. Helped me to give up on auctions and develope the TPAAAT instead.
