Frosty
I just finished making a new spring and wedges for one just like it, right down to the "C". jaws are a tad under 4" too. Is there a 2 under the mounting plate? I painted mine shop colors, hunter green and gold, I'll have to shoot a pic tomorrow and post it though it'll be a while before I get it mounted. Good score, remember your relative's B'day and Christmas. Frosty

ThomasPowers
C in a recessed triangle is a Columbian, just like their anvils. (of course the bracket may be from a different vise; but the plain legs are also typical Columbian) Screw threads look good and clean. A very decent price for a complete vise all in all. BeaverDamForge
I picked one up last weekend in the "iron in the hat". Actually, I won it for a friend who sent money with me. But it might be forever before he sets up a shop, so I set it up in mine "until then"... The threads are a bit worn in this one, but the price was right. It's the same size, no markings, different bracket and spring, but they may have been replaced. Good Luck!
