Frosty
We should probably mention every safety measure we can think of. I don't do much casting and it's been a few decades since shop class. Frosty The Lucky.
Mikey98118
Unfortunately, a lot of those safety measures involve what crucible for what metal and how to build and work safely with tongs. We would end up pretty far from blacksmithing and forges. I see all metal crafts as various aspects of one thing. I picture glass work as part of metal crafts. One of the aspects of knives that I like is that the work encourages smiths to include plastic, horn, leather, and wood, along with brass and other nonferrous alloys in their plans
Frosty
Well O K A Y everything may not be practical. I see parallels in almost everything when I look deeply enough but I try not to bring them up too often it just confuses folks and they already think I'm strange enough. For some time I've wanted to knap a flint or obsidian handle for a knife but I'd have to take up making knives and that just doesn't strike a spark for me. Frosty The Lucky.
