JeffH
I just bought a Fisher anvil. Haven't weighed it yet, but I was told it's about 80 pounds. It has 1882 on it. The top edges have a couple of chipped places, but not bad. I paid $150 for it, any idea if I over paid?

ThomasPowers
Is that $150 Canadian or Australian dollars? American dollars it's a good price, Canadian or Australian dollars it's a great price! Fisher's are probably the best of the anvils that don't ring and so are particularly useful for smiths working in the cities or suburbs. 80 pounds is a good sized for a travel anvil. They were dated as part of their warranty. Please post a picture when you get it!
